Summary
The intent of this project was to create a prototype that demonstrates the instructional design value of 3D simulation and virtual environments. The product illustrates the procedure for properly inserting and removing circuit boards from a rack of add-drop multiplexers.

The choice of which VR technology to use always comes down to a trade-off that ranges between using photo-realistic visualization with restricted navigation or providing complete real-time freedom of motion with simple flat-shaded graphics.
