John has a dual background in programming and visual communications.
He has extensive experience in technical direction and in the creative content development of kiosks, interactive training projects and multimedia marketing products.
John has worked for, and consulted with, AT&T, Bell Laboratories, and Bellcore (later, Telcordia). Clients include: Verizon, Qwest, Telkom South Africa, and BELLSouth.
John is a strong advocate for the use of simulation and visual-spatial tools in developing effective training. He uses a selection of 3D modeling and animation software.

John has designed and facilitated workshops on Unix-based documentation and graphics tools for Bell Laboratories, and has expertise in technical support for Unix and Apple Macintosh platforms.

His creative arts accomplishments include editorial cartoons, magazine illustration, architectural photography, animation and print design. He has published articles about multimedia and animation in industry trade magazines and newsletters.
He is currently a member of Visual-Spacial Encounter, an academic research group developing an online resource center devoted to research on dyslexia and the shared experiences of people with visual/spatial strengths.
